So, Murphy's ended last week. 😑
There were a total of 11 Murphy's rules if I counted it right but I was't able to list them down.
This is the first time I am satisfied with the way the drama ended. Most of the time I am either asking for more or not happy with the ending that I want to rewrite it.
Murphy's law of love has quickly reached my top 5 drama listings. Mainly because the characters are more realistic and not too dreamy. It doesn't have too much drama, not too comedic, and not too sweet. Just the right mix of emotions.
Too many 'surprises' from this drama, basically.
I liked how Danson portrayed Ji Jia Wei. This is the first time I've watched Danson after xxx years and he's improved. I like it how Ji Jia Wei acts as if it's his first time to fall in love. I like how he acts exactly the opposite of what he's saying. Idk, but I find those in-denial guys cute. ❤
This is the first time that I liked the 2nd female lead. Since Jenna Wang played the ex, I was expecting her to be bitchy like Huan Huan in Fall in Love with Me. But no, she didn't become like that. I was totally into her and understood her side when she was telling all the things she went through, why she instead chose to 'leave' Ji Jia Wei. Her story is something the lead characters usually go through.
Xiang Zi Yan, that hot but stupid guy. He's stupid coz he just admitted his feelings towards Xiao Tong in the last episode, but I can't blame him. Xiao Tong obviously loves Jia Wei that much. He's such a waste to be the 'silently-waiting-for-you' guy.
The family drama. Since this is produced by SETTV, it is expected that the show will include family dramas. It seems like SETTV is imitating Filipino dramas, where family issues are always inserted, (like being an illegitimate child, or being adopted, etc.) and always complictes the story. Most of the time, it makes the story draggy and boring. Except on Murphy's. The issue being Jia Wei illegitimate and his mother being a money-girl, (don't know what really to call her.) didn't seem to be a big deal, although it did affect Jia Wei and Xiao Tong's relationship. I personally think it isn't that a big deal since it didn't take it that long for them to settle the issue. There are no much crying scenes as well, compared to FILWM, making it a boring heavy drama.
I have nothing much to say about Ivelyn. Maybe she's just too much into the Murphy thing that it complicates her life. That's the drama's main theme, what do I expect?! I just found out that she's the clumsy girl in MoMo Love, the one who likes Shi Lang.
All in all, I love this drama. I hope SETTV would produce dramas like this in the future.
PS: Please release a studio version of Danson's 想說!😁
