Hey there,
How's post-quarantine life doing? Are you getting adjusted to the new normal? I'm starting to get crazy bored. I got to keep a routine thanks to being able to work from home.
Here are some of the series that kept me sane during the quarantine period.
Initial thoughts:
Another remake? Why? Don't they have any new ideas?
I literally just finished watching the movie. When news of a remake first went out, I was really wondering why. I thought it was for yet another series. The latest remake was just two(?) years ago. It's too sooon! And then I realized it was a movie, figured it out couple of weeks ago. 😂
...aaaand Meteor Garden 2018 ended just like that! After a year of waiting, the remake that awakened everyone’s memories finally came to an end.
I actually had mixed emotions when it was announced on weibo that there will be a remake. Why? Are they running out of ideas? Who will be the characters? No one can ever surpass the 2001 F4!
After sitting in my drafts for almost a month, I can finally share with everyone my thoughts on the new Meteor Garden. Is it a flip or a flop? Let's find out!
Nope, I'm not doing lyric translations this time. I tried my best to translate but I'm to lazy to continue doing it so I give up.
This post was supposed to be my comment to a YouTube reaction video I watched and I thought why not just post it on my blog instead?
So, here's my reaction-slash-FYI post:
"Anong makikita mo dun?"
(What would you see there?)
"Wala kang mapupuntahan dun."
(There's nothing to visit there.)
"Mas maganda pumunta sa [insert some other country here]"
(It's actually better to visit [insert some other country here])
Those are just some of the things I hear from people whenever I tell them I want to go to Taiwan. True, it wasn't only until recently I realized Taiwan has a lot to offer other than fangirling.

I have always wanted to see my favorite artists perform live, Aaron Yan, S.H.E, Bii, but I either never had the chance or let it slip. So when the chance to see Bii live came, I immediately grabbed it. I have been saving up all my life but always felt it was never enough. This is one decision I hastily did but never regretted.
I think it is already no secret that It Started with a Kiss is my all-time favorite drama. So when a remake was announced, I was skeptical about it. For me, no series could kick ISWAK out that special place in my heart. The first time I saw the teaser, I disliked it. First impressions: the male lead is too cold, the female lead looks more stupid. I did not watch it. I didn't hear/see any news about it either.
Anyway, it was the opening song that I listened to on Spotify that forced me to give Miss in Kiss a try. The song is really cute. The lyrics were obviously written for the series. The song was performed by the lead actors also, which made it more special.
If the number of episodes overwhelm you, you are not alone. I initially thought it was long because they included some parts from They Kiss Again. I was wrong. Each episode is around 30 minutes long. It feels too quick to finish. Bitin!
As I was watching it episode per episode, I couldn't help but compare Miss in Kiss with It Started with a Kiss.
Read my thoughts after the jump!
Are you waiting for someone?
Cafe. Waiting. Love is about Lee Si Ying who is a college froshie. At the beginning of the movie, a senior told them stories about a legendary student called Ah Tuo, who has done a lot of stupid things which made him "legendary". Si Ying is not waiting for anyone to come nor she was looking for someone, but it wasn't until the end of the story that she realized that someone was waiting for her.
Part 1:
Lee Min Ho can easily sweep every one off their feet. As a certified heartthrob, he is already every k-drama fan's dream boyfriend.
Here are some reasons why he's definitely #boyfriendgoals
Here are some reasons why he's definitely #boyfriendgoals
Halfway through the series, I promised myself that I'd write
I can't organize my thoughts right now, so I'll divide this post to the things I love and I don't.
Another favorite from Amber! The song is one of the OST for the series Prince of Wolf where she played the female lead. I want to share my thoughts about the drama but it's for a separate post when the drama ends. 😁

Fahrenheit's first album was released.
10 years have already passed. In a blink of an eye, a lot of things happened and changed. They may have stopped making music together but those mini-reunions that they do, whether in public or in private, always makes feifans hearts flutter.
Below are my 10 fave songs from FRH. Please don't ask me to rank them according to my most to least favorite because I know I can't.
I never realized I am soo outdated that I didn't know Tia released a single!
Read the lyrics, it's all nice. It was written as if the writer is speaking to himself, then ending the song with a realization/decision.
It's not easy to let go of love, but if it just makes you feel worthless, why continue hurting yourself? Most of the time, letting go is the best option.
The MV is also nicely shot as well. Using boxing to represent the emotional battles and all, it feels very empowering, very feminist. It's like telling every woman in that situation to be strong and stand up for yourself. That a woman is strong, far from what the world stereotyped for centuries.
Women from the 21st century are strong and can stand on their own!
Translated lyrics below:
I really can't go over with this song, I don't know why.
No, this song is not one of those hugot songs in my playlist.
As a fangirl, I wonder why Linfair did not group them. I mean, with all the boy group mushrooming in Taiwan, these boys whose voices blend so well would be a good boy group.
Anyway, enjoy this all-English song from Bii, Andrew, Ian, and Dino.
Quite a mouthful eh~ 😛
Still hooked with the drama Bromance, that I can't get over the OST, most especially this song
In my
Anyway, I'm ending this post with roughly translated lyrics below
This song best tells a woman's dilemma: your sixth sense tells you something is going on but you are torn in between believing it or believing the man in front of you. The feeling is so annoying that you'd rather want to know it straight than play guessing game.
It wasn't planned at all. I was just browsing through my blog, checking my links if they are still working, and there it is, 杜拉拉追婚記 tempting me and I have no choice but to give in.

At last! After months of searching the vast world wide web, I have finally found the full version of this movie! I know, from the teasers alone, that this movie is indeed a tear-jerker.
